  Dr. Khalid Maqsood is very professional and was focused on my issues. In addition, he demonstrated true care and concern. Reminds me of the ethics doctors had when I was younger. But, in addition, the whole team was caring, pleasant and seemed truly working towards my health. That includes the office staff as well as the medical professionals. Additionally, my Endoscopy and Colonoscopy were unbelievably completed with no unexpected issues or discomfort. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Maqsood and the whole team at South Lake Gastroenterology to friends and family with complete confidence. And this is voluntary, honest feedback. If the team or the process had not been what it should be, I would share that as openly. Anyone trying to decide on gastro related issues, you will not go wrong turning to Dr. Maqsood and the whole team.

  After working in the medical/health field for over 10 years, I consider myself fairly knowledgeable when it comes to healing your body and the gut. I've been dealing with an issue for a while that I can't seem to figure out so I went here to see what they could recommend. After a 30+ minute wait, the doctor spent no more than 2 minutes with me, quickly explained what he wanted to do: an endoscopy and B.R.A.V.O., then left. My research pointed that this may uncover what is possibly wrong, so I put my trust in this doctor that this is what I needed, so I agreed and left. I spent more time finding out the cost of the procedure than I did with the doctor, which I was told $50 as the rest is covered by insurance. Weeks later I went for my tests, which went well. The only downside was the doctor arrived an hour late, which had me waiting forever to finally finish the procedure. A nurse told me this is normal as he's always late. Eventually I went back in for my follow up, hoping for some good news or any news at all. Nothing, he couldn't tell me anything. He told me details I already knew and didn't go over anything that was found in the images. While this may not be his fault directly, I could tell he was trying to rush me out and not listening to what I was asking. He kept saying "Do more research yourself." This is after I told him multiple times that I have had this for years and have been researching my symptoms for years and unable to find anything. The kicker was when a month after my procedure I received two invoices, one for the anesthesia and one for pathology totaling almost $700. I made sure before the procedure to find out what I would have to pay out of pocket beyond what my insurance covers, and they told me $50 which I had already paid. Now this, and who knows what other hidden costs will arrive. This doctor literally did nothing, rushed me every step of the way, and the office hid the extra fees that would be invoiced to me a month later. Surprise! Thanks for nothing, wouldn't recommend this office to anyone!

  Absolutely terrible staff. They will insist on unnecessary, investigative procedures that your insurance will not cover just so they can make a profit. BEWARE
